We should recognize members of the group who have given their time to this issue. This list, in rough reverse chronological order, shows who has made significant contributions. I'm sure it's not complete - if you see something missing, please add it. A person can be listed more than once.

  • Geof Glass delivered an excellent speech at MP Sukh Dhaliwal's copyright roundtable.
  • Bill McGrath has written a list of everyday situations where anti-circumvention creates problems.
  • Chen Shen and Geof Glass produced the first This Week in Vancouver newsletter
  • Jesse Betteridge got an article on C-61 published in the Tri-City News.
  • Geof Glass created an easy-to-read-and-link-to version of Bill C-61.
  • Chen Shen has been diligently taking minutes and helping to administer the wiki and mailing list.
  • Greg McMullen (with a bit of help from Chris Brand) wrote and presented a backgrounder to the BCCLA. The BCCLA agreed with the position, and offered to appear before the Parliamentary committee.
  • Bill McGrath, Stephen Rasku, Dan Fornika and Audrey Foo met Vancouver Quadra MP Joyce Murray on July 21.
  • Caleb Buxton arranged a meeting room for our July 17 meeting.
  • Stephen Rasku contacted the BC Civil Liberties Association.
  • Bill McGrath wrote the Canadian Declaration of User Rights to clarify issues and problems.
  • Charlotte Bourne arranged a meeting room for our July 10 meeting.
  • Kristine Best spoke to Don Bell, MP from North Vancouver, about the issue. If we put together a document about copyright, he offered to distribute it to other Liberal MPs.
  • Shawn Price thought of using the wiki to write the agenda, and did so for the next meeting.
  • Raphael Carrier set up and hosts TikiWiki and the mailing list.
  • Bill McGrath is acting as a liaison to FreeGeek Vancouver, Ubuntu Vancouver and the Vancouver Linux Users Group.
  • Chris Brand has coordinated petitions to Parliament since submitting a response to the government consultation in 2001. He has lobbied regularly and met multiple times with his MP, Peter Julian.
